Gdańsk is very well-connected by train to many major Polish cities and several international destinations. The city’s main station, Gdańsk Główny, serves as a hub for fast and regular train services.
Popular routes include connections to Warsaw, Kraków, Poznań, and Wrocław, with travel times ranging from around 3 to 7 hours depending on the distance. International trains also run between Gdańsk and Berlin, providing convenient access from Germany.
Trains in the region are operated by PKP Intercity and regional providers, making it easy to explore Gdańsk and the surrounding area by rail.

Operated by Polferries, this is the main direct ferry route to Gdańsk. The journey typically takes around 18 hours. This route is more commonly used by vehicles and freight, but passengers can also book the journey.
🇸🇪 From Karlskrona (Sweden) to Gdynia
While this doesn’t sail directly to Gdańsk, Gdynia is just 30 minutes from Gdańsk by road or rail. The journey is operated by Stena Line, and this is one of the most popular passenger ferry routes in northern Poland.
🇩🇰🇩🇪 From other Baltic ports to Gdynia or Świnoujście
