We were amazed by how diverse the landscapes are and how easy it is to explore so many incredible places in a short amount of time.

๐Ÿคฉ Why Do Tourists Go to Armenia?

Most tourists visit Armenia to see Yerevan, and maybe take a few day trips. But there is so much more to Armenia than just its capital! It is the perfect blend of deep history, stunning scenery, and unique cultural blend.ย

Yerevan is often a good main starting point, offering a mix of modern life, traditional cuisine, and a bustling city feel.

Beyond the capital, travelers love exploring the ancient monasteries, mountain roads, and vineyards that make Armenia one of the most fascinating countries in the Caucasus. Itโ€™s perfect for anyone looking for authentic experiences and fewer crowds.

๐Ÿ‘ฌ Is Armenia Friendly to Tourists?

Armenians are like New Yorkers, tough on the exterior, but warm and caring on the inside. You may not get smiles from everyone, but they're willing to help and also really nice when you get to know them.

Our first moment we realized this was on a crowded metro of people who looked stressed and unapproachable. The metro was jerking and we were trying to keep our belongings together. Straight-faced, 4 different people just helped us - no exchange of words, just a small grin of acknowledgement that we're all in this together.

Itโ€™s even common for locals to invite travelers for coffee or help them find their way, even if they donโ€™t speak much English. The culture is very family-oriented, and staying in guest houses allow you to really enjoy this unique aspect of what Armenians are truly like. Itโ€™s one of the many reasons we fell in love with Armenia and will definitely go back one day.
