The list can be endless, but we're here to share the best sunset spots in Cape Town so you can add the top views to your Cape Town itinerary.
1. Table Mountain
Watching the sunset from the top of Table Mountain is an unforgettable experience, and one of the top bucket list experiences in South Africa.
As the highest point of Cape Town, this is a must! Just make sure you are prepared for the wind at the top, and bring a sweater or jacket as it can get pretty chilly up there.
Take the cable car up or hike for a more adventurous route, and enjoy panoramic views as the sun sets over the city and the ocean.
2. Lion’s Head
Lion’s Head is not only one of the best sunset spots in Cape Town, but it is also one of the most popular hikes in the city. The 360-degree view from the top showcases Cape Town, the ocean, and the Twelve Apostles, making it one of the most iconic places for a sunset.
The hike is not too long, but is super fun with its chains and ladders that lead up to the top.

This is probably our favorite on the list for best sunset spots in Cape Town, because it's kind of a hidden gem!
Located at the top of a really beautiful development is an area of rocks that sit high up and give panoramic views of Camps Bay.
While it took us a bit to research this place, we did find quite a few people here, so it looks like it's getting more popular - for good reason!
