Antafioka is a neighborhood which also has a lot of restaurants along long stairwells - and their location and height make them perfect for admiring the city below.

Lycabettus Hill is also an incredible place to watch the sunset in Athens, and has quite a few rooftop bars scattered around it with excellent views and trendy vibes.

You can visit the rooftops of Athens anytime of the day and enjoy fantastic views, but if you do want to go to one during sunset, then we recommend trying to make a reservation, or getting there early, because they definitely get very busy!

MS Garden

MS Garden was the first rooftop bar in Athens, Greece that we went to, and it certainly did not disappoint! It has wide open views of the Acropolis, and plenty of seating to enjoy the panoramas. We spent a while here working, drinking, and just soaking up the views. We also loved that they gave us popcorn with our beers!

A is for Athens

A is for Athens is just nearby MS Garden, also offering great views of the Acropolis. It's a bit smaller though, and there are just a few tables, so we recommend coming here earlier for a cocktail and then hopping to one of the others to enjoy the sunset and a snack (or going later).

Hyper Astro Bar

Hyper Astro Bar has similar views to A is for Athens and MS Garden, but they also have a small area with flowers for a photo opp, which means you won't need to be fighting for the best spot on the terrace. We went for just a drink, but the food actually looked pretty good too!

360 Cocktail Bar

360 Cocktail Bar has some of the most fantastic views in all of Athens. It's located right in the heart of the Monastakiri, but offers 360 degree views meaning you can enjoy panoramas with the Acropolis, and enjoy the actually sunset as well (which most rooftops in Athens don't typically have).

🏨 The Foundry Suites Athens Rooftop

Foundry Suites is a hotel in Athens that has a cool and relaxed rooftop offering a glimpse at the Acropolis in the distance. It's got this almost "beach vibe" to it, making it a cool place to hang in the afternoon and grab a bite with the prettiest atmosphere.

Buena Vista Social Bar

This had to be one of our favorite rooftop bars in Athens, Greece. It has several floors of bright colors, stunning chandeliers, and lush greenery draped around it. 

The rooftop offers a peak into the square below, and while the views aren't as dramatic as some of the other rooftop bars in Athens, the place really makes up for it with their fabulous decor.

🎈 En Athria Acropolis

We were originally drawn into En Athria because of its adorable hot air balloon decor and vibrant colors, but we couldn't understand why it was so empty inside! Well, this restaurant doesn't just have two beautifully decorated floors indoors, but a fabulous rooftop to hang out upstairs.

🎷 Psaras Tavern

Located along the steps in Antifiotika, Psaras Tavern has three levels. Downstairs you can enjoy live music and rustic vibes, while the rooftop gives you beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. The food is fantastic, and it's decently priced as well!

🏝 Boo! Athens

Looking for a unique vibe in Athens? Well, Boo will make you feel like you've teleported to Tulum with its boho chic vibe and open, green rooftop.

They also have a DJ and big parties on the weekends, making it the ultimate night out for those tropical vibes right in the heart of the city.

 Orizontes Lycabettus

Looking for the ultimate night out? Well this fine dining establishment is located on the top of Lycabettus Hill, the highest point in all of Athens. It'll cost you a pretty penny to dine here, but they have a fabulous menu and have the absolute best views of the entire city.
