The Most Instagrammable Places in Puerto Rico
We're going to share with you all of the tips and tricks for taking some of the best photos during your trip, but first, let's look at all of the fun instagrammable places in Puerto Rico to explore!
Instagrammable Places in Puerto Rico #1: Castillo San Felipe del Morro, Old San Juan
Located right in the heart of Old San Juan lies a beautiful fortress right on the coast. Wander through the different stone walls and crevices for some great shots.
You can walk down on the bottom outside the fortress as well along a winding sidewalk with tons of adorable cats, or watch the mesmerizing sunset on the grass.
Instagrammable Places in Puerto Rico #2: Calle Fortaleza, Old San Juan
Another great location in Old San Juan is Calle Fortaleza. This street has part of it closed off for pedestrians and is lined with colorful umbrellas. Every now and then the decor changes for different occasions, such as switching to pink umbrellas for breast cancer awareness, or a giant Puerto Rican flag running along the top.
Instagrammable Places in Puerto Rico #3: Yaucromatic, Yauco
If you like color, than this is the spot for you! This small neighborhood celebrates the vibrance of art and culture with its colorfully painted houses, stairs, and even the odd tree. Local artists have created this project just a few years ago, and it is really a sight to see!
In order to get this shot, take the picture from all the way down the hill with a zoom lens. This way you can capture the entire area in the photo.

Instagrammable Places in Puerto Rico #4: Cerro de Punta, Adjuntas
Cerro de Punta marks the highest point of the island. Reaching 1,338 meters above sea level, you can get a great view of the surrounding hills, towns, and even beaches.
There is a road that goes all the way to the top, but we suggest parking on the side of the road and walking the last 800 meters as the road is pretty beat up at the top.

When you arrive there is a government building that says no trespassing. However, when we arrived there was a local working there that informed us that there was no problem going on the property. Just make sure that you don't touch any of the wires or towers around!
Instagrammable Places in Puerto Rico #5: Treehouse at Royal Palms, San German
This AirBnb is the ultimate Instagrammable spots in Puerto Rico to stay! Located on the west end of the island, this stylish treehouse is surrounded by greenery.
There is a bridge at the entrance and a curved stairwell up to your perfect jungle retreat, equipped with a kitchen, two full beds, a couch, rainfall shower, and two swinging hammock chairs.
Instagrammable Places in Puerto Rico #6: Coca Falls, El Yunque
El Yunque is Puerto Rico's famous rainforest that features an abundance of beautiful places.
Here you can find several trails, waterfalls, and viewpoints. While there are so many great photo opportunities, our personal favorite is the first stop in the park, Coca Falls. It is located right off the side of the road, making it a really easy stop!
Instagrammable Places in Puerto Rico #7: Curva del Arbol, Salinas
Looking for another great viewpoint? Curva del Arbol also has some pretty stunning views, and features a colorful bench, and two swings (one for adults and one for children), allowing you to fully relax while taking in the beautiful panorama.
Instagrammable Places in Puerto Rico #8: Chorros del Rio La Planta, Arecibo
This waterfall is located right in Arecibo, and actually isn't very popular. Once you park the first set of falls is located right there. Go further down the river and you will find a large waterfall at the end that you will most likely have to yourselves. Enjoy!
Instagrammable Places in Puerto Rico #9: Pozo el Jacinto, Isabela
This spot is located right next to Playa Jobos, one of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico. Here you can appreciate the waves crashing down. Get a shot with the splash behind you for an extra cool Insta Shot.
Instagrammable Places in Puerto Rico #10: Gozalandia Falls, San Sebastian
Another one of our favorite waterfalls in Puerto Rico is Gozalandia Falls. Located in the north west of the island, it makes a great place to stop if you are staying in Isabela or San German.
Don't have time to read the whole article and want to save it for later? Just pin it!
The falls have a rope on the side to climb up, and a small cave on the left, as well as a beautiful river running down to be explored.
Instagrammable Places in Puerto Rico #11: Abandoned Airplane, Aguadilla
This is such a cool spot, and offers not just one, but several different great photo opportunities. You can explore not only the great art on the outside, but the inside of the airplane. This spot is free of charge to check out, but they do accept donations.
Instagrammable Places in Puerto Rico #12: Puente La Hamaca, Adjuntas
This is one of those cool spots off-the-beaten-path. This is an abandoned bridge that really shouldn't be crossed, as it's not the safest. However, it delivers a pretty cool photo opportunity for those willing to cross. Bringing a drone here made it one of our favorite Instagrammable places in Puerto Rico.
Instagrammable Places in Puerto Rico #13: Cerro Cabrera, Aguadilla
If you're staying on the north west of the island, this is a great alternative to Yaucromatic. This small neighborhood is bursting with color, and even has the streets around it covered in creative murals. Cerro Cabrera is definitely a place you will want to stop and take out your camera!
Instagrammable Places in Puerto Rico #14: Mar Chiquita
This beach will make you feel like you're on the moon! Grab your camera for one of the coolest Instagrammable places in Puerto Rico. This place can be best appreciated by bringing a drone to appreciate the round shape of the beach, and the pools formed in the craters.

This building is painted from top to bottom as the Puerto Rican flag. Could you think of a more perfect pick for Instagrammable places in Puerto Rico?
