All around the city you can visit different outdoor Mayan-inspired spas, which feature large facilities with different pools sourced by thermal waters.

Speaking of art, this hotel itself is a work of art! Casa de los Soles is decorated by different sun pieces that have been accumulated and added to the walls little by little. The hotel now features over 2,000 of them, making this a beautiful place to be any corner you turn.

The hotel offers two large terraces, as well as rooms with interior balconies. Casa de los Soles is located right in the center of San Miguel de Allende and is definitely a unique place to spend a night or two.

San Miguel de Allende was originally deemed a Pueblo Magico, which is a pretty prestige title to hold. However, the title was actually taken away 12 years ago! But not for a bad reason- This gorgeous city has actually been upgraded by being declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site on July 8th 2008.


Due to it being a remarkable example of 16th-century Spanish Colonial Baroque architecture, as well as a place of vital importance during the Mexican War of Independence, it has gained it's new title. With such significance in the world, it is without a doubt another great reason to visit San Miguel de Allende.

Reason to Visit San Miguel de Allende #9: It's Right Between Two Gorgeous Cities

As if we didn't have enough reasons to visit San Miguel de Allende, it's location is another reason. It is nestled between two capital cities of two different states, An hour to the South you can head over to Santiago de Queretaro, and just an hour and a half north you can discover another UNESCO world heritage site, Guanajuato.

Being so close to Queretaro, San Miguel de Allende lies very close to the "Ruta de Arte y Vino". Here you can find plenty of vineyards, where you can learn about the production of wine, as well as attend wine tastings and pairings. A few that are worth checking out are San Lucas, La Santisima Trinidad, and Tres Raices.
